Setting Up An Icon For An Online System On A New Windows XP Computer

1-Click on Start>right click on My Network Places and select Properties>right click on Local Area Connection and select Properties>under ”This connection uses the following items:”, make sure Client Service for NetWare is checked.
2-If Client Service for NetWare is not checked or not present, click on Install button.(The Windows XP cd may be needed.)To confirm that Client Service for Netware is working properly, go to a command prompt and type net view to see if you show other computers on the network.
3-Go to Windows Explorer to see if the computer is connected to the drives on the LAN, i.e. F:\ or G:\. If so proceed to next step. If not connected to LAN, go to Tools>Map Network Drive>select the appropriate drive and folder and select Finish.
4-Right click on the desktop>select New>Shortcut>Browse>My Computer>drive where online system is located>Local###>Run.exe>select Next>type the name of the Online System>Next>select any icon(it will be changed)>Finish
5-Right click on the new shortcut and select Properties. Click on the Program tab.
6-The “cmd line:” should read Drive:\Local###\Run.exe -f ###menu
7-Working should read: Drive:\Local###
8-Click Change Icon>click browse>and locate the Online System icon under the same drive and folder as before.>Click Open>Click OK
9-Click on the Memory tab and change everything to Auto.
10-Click Apply, then OK.
11-Copy an AUTOEXEC.BAT file from an Win XP existing computer.
12-The file should look like this:

13-To verify network card, go to Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager>Network Adapters
